No new infrastructure for us

At a Committee meeting on 03 June 2018 Councillor Christine Mitchell confirmed that the many submissions to the Horowhenua District Council 2018 to 2038 Long-Term Plan had been effective. The Council has decided not to go ahead with their planned water and sewage infrastructure for Waikawa Beach.

Many thanks to all those who took the time to make a submission with their views.

Councillor Mitchell commended us on the large number of submissions and the good arguments that were put forward. She also pointed out that this had helped bring us together as a community.
